Brunton House & Cottages is a collection of nine luxury self-catering holiday cottages, all graded 5* Gold by VisitEngland. We are set on an organic farm in the middle of the 2,500-acre Fallodon Estate, midway between Alnwick and Bamburgh and just 4 miles off the A1, with views across the fields to the sea at Beadnell Bay.
Whether you are planning a quiet break for two or a get-together for 16, every property combines the character of an old stone farm building with the comfort you would expect from a 5* stay.
Why Stay at Brunton?
Brunton has been farmed by three generations of the Bridgeman family and became an organic farm in 2006. Over the past decade, Mark and Lucia Bridgeman have brought the old farm buildings back to life, from the mill cottages beside the Brunton burn to the Granary, whose date stone reads 1793.
Our cottages have won a string of awards, including a 2023 VisitEngland Rose Award, and Brunton House is the only 5* large holiday house in this part of Northumberland.
Every stay includes feather and down pillows and duvets, Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels, and a basket of local produce to welcome you on arrival.

Brunton House sleeps 16 guests under one roof, with 8 bathrooms, a dining room seating 16, an elegant drawing room, a games room and mature gardens looking out over the organic fields. Brunton sits on the edge of the Northumberland Coast National Landscape (formerly the Northumberland Coast AONB). Our nearest villages are Christon Bank, Embleton, Beadnell, Low Newton and Craster, and some of the county’s best-loved places are right on the doorstep:
- The walk from Craster past the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle to Low Newton, voted one of the best walks in the UK
- The Ship Inn at Low Newton and the Jolly Fisherman at Craster
- The wide sands of Beadnell Bay, which you can see from Brunton
