This very generous one-bedroom cottage, situated 2 miles from the sandy beach of Beadnell Bay, is the perfect rural retreat for a couple.
The Long Byre is surrounded by organic fields, with the bedroom window looking out towards Croft field, and the old walled garden of Brunton House in the distance. There is plenty of room in the very large bedroom for a baby in a travel cot, and the sitting room has plenty of seating for guests to drop in and games to be played at the games table. The floor to ceiling sliding French windows open onto a private, enclosed terrace. A dog can be brought to the cottage to enjoy wonderful walks on the beach.
The luxury holiday cottage is very bright and spacious, with stunning interior design. The welcoming open-plan living area is both comfortable and sophisticated, with plenty of good books. There is a Clearview stove and unlimited hard wood logs, from the Fallodon estate. The heating and hot water are provided by the biomass boiler fuelled by woodchip, also harvested from the surrounding woods.
This is ideal self-catering accommodation on the heritage Northumberland coast, mid-way between Bamburgh and Alnwick. A 2m walk-in shower will wash away the sea-salt from adventurous swims and a deep bath can help soothe legs tired from climbing in the Cheviot hills.

Outside, there is an immaculate gravel and grass courtyard to the front and a private walled terrace; which is a south-facing sun trap with tables and chairs. There is ample private parking to the rear of the cottage.

Dogs
One well-behaved dog is allowed by prior arrangement in the uncarpeted living areas of
Long Byre. Guests are responsible for ensuring their dogs remain within these areas and are not allowed in carpeted rooms or to climb onto furniture. We are a dog-friendly working farm with livestock and machinery. Dogs must not be allowed to roam unsupervised and must be kept under close control at all times.
