Jan ’24  We have spent the last 20 years renting large houses all over the UK.  This is the best house we have stayed in by miles and the best location.  It is the only house everyone wants to return to!

Dec ’23  A wonderful family Christmas with 4 generations, from 2 – 89

Nov ’23  Our 4th family get together in this wonderful house, which we all (from age 1 – 75) love.   We can’t wait to return.

Sept ’23  Thank you very much for your thoughtful furnishing of the house and for enabling a fantastic reunion.

Aug ’23  Our second visit, after 10 years! This time we were 13.  We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house again and especially enjoyed drinks round the fire in the garden.  Hope to be back again.

July ’23  We’ve had a wonderful time celebrating my 70th birthday.  This place is beautiful – far exceeding expectations.  We would LOVE to return.

June ’23  I last wrote in the visitors’ book in September 2019.  Four years later and we are back!  We loved it for our 47th annual school reunion.  Could we return for our 50th?

May ’23  Had the most fantastic time – some back for the 3rd time.  Can’t praise the accommodation enough.  Every need is catered for.  Thank you so much.

Apr ’23  Our second visit to this wonderful house which is tailor made for family gatherings.

Dec ’22  Our second visit to Brunton House for a special family occasion.  We enjoyed having the piano to accompany the violin and viola plus lots of singing!  Age range in our party was from 11 – 84 years.

Apr ’22  We love the house so much!  Everything was really clean, very comfortable and everything we needed was easy to find.  Brunton House was the perfect place to gather and celebrate our mother’s 80th birthday.  Thanks for a memorable week.

Mar ’22  What a wonderful house and setting.  After two years of covid-postponement anticipation we were delighted with every aspect of this beautifully furnished and fully equipped house.

Feb ’22  We came here for a delayed celebration of a 30th, 40th and 70th birthday.  This was a superb extended family get-together.  The house was perfect, and so well-equipped.  Everything about the house exceeded expectations!

Jan ’22  Brunton was a lovely gathering place for us all.

Dec ’21  Christmas Day was magical!  We love spending time here.  Roll on visit number 4.

Nov ’21  What a wonderful house for our birthday celebrations.  We were here 4 years ago for our 40 wedding anniversary and can’t wait to come back again.  So comfortable, so well appointed, so much space for us all to have fun together indoors and outdoors.

July ’21  We have enjoyed a second wonderful, full family reunion in beautiful Brunton House.  Six grandchildren aged eight to two had a brilliant time together, not to mention the adults.  This has been perfect.

June ’21  The perfect location, peaceful and sunny.  Great play area for the little ones.

May ’21   A wonderful way to celebrate a 90th birthday.  The perfect house for our family get together.

April ’21  We had a lovely time – the perfect antidote to the pandemic.

Mar ’21   Having just returned from a four-day vacation at Brunton House I would like to share that this is an idyllic holiday place. Not only does the house have a ‘wow’ factor but there is nothing that has not been carefully considered in providing guests the best holiday experience . The small touches: local honey, Northumberland tea, bacon and bread were just a small example. The team looking after the house, including cleaners were super kind and helpful. We will have family memories to treasure from our stay. You made this possible. Thank you to everyone. It was truly wonderful. I wish we could return every year.

Feb ’20  Amazing attention to detail.  Kitchen very well provided for and very comfy beds.  A brilliant house for a gathering/celebration.  Thank you all, and Ann, for a lovely welcome.

Jan’20   A superb venue for a shooting party for a few days.  Excellent facilities, warm and welcoming after a day braving the elements.  Thank you Chris and the team for all the care and attention to detail.  Could not have been better.  Will definitely return!

Dec ’19  You have thought of everything.  We all loved our stay here in this brilliant location.  Northumberland never fails.

Nov ’19   If we had to hand draw a house that would be perfect for our family celebration, this would be it!  Beautifully appointed, warm, cosy and inviting.  Perfect in every way.  We all can’t wait to find another excuse to come back.  It’s been a joy.

Brunton House is an absolutely wonderful place, and was perfect for our 43rd annual school reunion. Started in 1976 we have done this every year and this house and location has proved to be practical, comfortable and uplifting.

We have spent a wonderful family holiday week in this beautiful house and garden, with trips to the amazing local sandy beaches. Fourteen of us aged 70 years to 7 months. Beautiful surroundings – short walks for short legs amongst the wild fields with so many butterflies, bees, mice burrows, spiders’ nests and hares.

We have met together in many different places over recent years. Brunton House is the bees’ knees and is likely to take the award for ‘the best yet’. The house is equipped with everything you can think of, and much more. This is the first place we have stayed in which has a wine room and a log room. We must return!

What a wonderful place for a family break. From 18 months to 88 years old everyone has had a fantastic time. Great to see the farmland managed for wildlife with field margins left to grow on and pays dividends with the amount of hares and bird-life we have enjoyed.

This is our third stay here and we enjoyed ourselves again!. The dining room is perfect for our annual murder mystery party. I have to say you do think of everything and thank you for the beautiful Christmas tree.

What a wonderful few days we spent in Brunton House at the end of October. You have thought of everything, the house is just lovely and perfect for a group of three generations plus assorted dogs. Very happy memories of our golden wedding celebration, from arriving to a card and bottle of prosecco, to duets on the piano with Granny, exploring the wonderful area of beaches, castles, boat trips. Whenever I drive north of Newcastle I relax, no crowds, just space. Marvellous. Thank you, we hope to come back.

We have been so comfortable here – at the very least a ‘home from home’, if not better: extra kitchen, piano, drying room, woodshed, etc etc!

We had been looking for a house with at least 5 double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.

This is a great house which is beautifully refurbished and decorated and kitted out with everything you might need from a piano to a full set of bakery equipment. The setting is fabulous and we had lots to do on the estate with walks, fishing & feeding lambs, and even more in the vicinity.
