## Mini basket to go here ##
Frequently Asked Questions
We get asked this a lot and would love to be able to be more flexible, but it is just not possible. We have a very narrow window to changeover the properties to our extremely high housekeeping standards.
We are very grateful for your understanding and support in not arriving early or departing late.
If you would like towels and linen in addition to our standard provision, or require housekeeping support during your stay, subject to availability we can arrange for a small charge, and with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice.
On arrival beds will be prepared with fresh linen and fresh towels are provided. If you are staying for 2 weeks or more, you will receive complimentary self-service fresh linen and towels each week.
Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco will all deliver to Brunton. Please ensure your delivery slot is not before 17:00 on your arrival day. This allows for any travel delays as unfortunately, we cannot accept grocery deliveries on your behalf.
Our preferred suppliers are Charlie Murphy Wines, Majestic in Berwick and Alnwick Brewery. They know Brunton and can deliver directly, making things straightforward for you.
We provide logs, firefighters, matches and a bucket of woodchip (for use as kindling) in your property. You’re welcome to top up logs throughout your stay and will find details of location on arrival in your information file.
On arrival, you will find a generous welcome basket of local goodies plus enough essential supplies to get you through your first few days/until you have time to shop. See the full list here Welcome Pack and House Provisions.

Unfortunately we cannot take bookings from stag and hen groups. Because of this, if we receive enquiries or bookings from groups of single people under 25 or groups of the same gender we may need to discuss your requirements in further detail.
There is free Wi-Fi at Brunton via our dedicated leased-line broadband connection. Please note Wi-Fi is provided for recreational use and not business purposes, and unfortunately, the service cannot be guaranteed.
There is 4G coverage for most networks throughout Brunton farm, although you may need to move around your property to find the best connection. If you would like to check specific networks you can do so here Ofcom mobile coverage checker.
Yes please. We ask guests to leave the holiday properties and Blacksmith’s clean and tidy, much as you found them. If you’d prefer, you’re very welcome to hire our housekeeping team for additional in-stay assistance. Do check with your caterers too, as they often prefer to use their own staff.
We’re afraid not. Hot tubs require specialist daily care and can add significant running costs. By not having them, we’re able to ensure the grounds are beautifully maintained throughout the year.
Not directly, no. For safety reasons we don’t allow charging from the properties themselves. However, we do have proper chargers available in the main car park for your use.
Sorry, no. With livestock and dogs nearby, fireworks and lanterns can be distressing and dangerous. We ask all guests to avoid bringing them.
For fire safety, we can’t allow candles, tea lights, ethanol burners or similar open flames in the cottages.
Only with prior written permission. If you’d like to fly a drone, please contact us in advance so we can advise on what’s possible.
Yes! Brunton Lake is stocked with rainbow trout, and guests are very welcome to fish on a catch-and-release basis. Please let the office know in advance if you’d like to use the lake.
