The open space and privacy at Brunton make it a perfect place to enjoy a safe break and we’re ready to welcome you to Brunton with (socially distanced) open arms.
Our commitment to you:
Whilst our doors have been closed, we’ve been concentrating on ensuring that you (and our fabulous team) are as safe and risk free as possible during your stay.
Brunton House and Cottages is a member of the Professional Association of Self-Caterers who are collaborating with several other national associations, including UKHospitality, to develop a strict cleaning protocol for self-catering businesses throughout the UK.
The guidelines for England are awaiting final government signoff, but for now you can view the similar Scottish Guidelines, created by the same group.
✔ In line with the agreed guidelines we have conducted a detailed Risk Assessment to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.
✔ We will continually review our Risk Assessment to take into account any changes in guidelines or legislation.
✔ A copy of our current Risk Assessment is available on request.
✔ We have completed training in Covid-19 Holiday Let Cleaning Protocols.
✔ Our team have been issued with non-NHS PPE and trained in it’s correct use. If you arrive early, you might spot us in face shields, masks, aprons and gloves.
✔ Changeovers, completed to our usual exceptional standards, fully in line with current Government Guidelines. We’re taking some extra steps including sanitising soft furnishings.
✔ We’re paying particular attention to high touch areas, thoroughly disinfecting after our standard clean.
✔ Where appropriate we are using disinfectants that comply with EN 14476 from DuoMax products .
✔ Bed linen is washed using healthcare standard products by our offsite laundry. Grannie Annie is washing everything else, including our fluffy white towels, at higher than usual temperatures.
✔ We removed bedspreads, throws and cushions from bedrooms before lockdown – our crisp Egyptian cotton bedding looks just as stunning naked.
✔ We provide suitable cleaning products for use during your stay. Please do not bring any household bleach or other strong chemicals with you. These will stop our sewage treatment plant operating effectively.
❌ We love meeting you, but for the foreseeable we’re going to remain at the end of the phone unless it’s an emergency.
✔ We will send full access details at least 1 week before you are due to arrive, so you can rest assured you will only have direct contact with members of your guest party.
✔ If you need anything during your stay we are just a phone call away.
We need you to ensure the following things happen please:
