Harbour House, overlooking the harbour in the famous fishing village of Craster, has been owned by the Armstrong family for over 45 years.

It is one of the most sought after locations on this coastal stretch of Northumberland.

The Northumberland Coast path goes straight past the front door, and it is a mile to walk to the ruined C14 Dunstanburgh Castle, along the grassy cliff-top path.  The award winning Jolly Fisherman pub is only 200 yards from the cottage, and Robson and Sons, the world famous fish smokers is opposite the pub.

Ground Floor

Sitting Room

This light, bright, front-facing room looks out onto Craster Harbour.  There is a wood-burning stove, television, DVD player, plus plenty of good books and games.

Kitchen

The kitchen has a four-plate induction hob, double oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.

Dining Room

There is a large pine dining table and chairs seating 10 comfortably.

Downstairs shower room

With walk-in shower, basin and wc.

Rear porch/boot room

With washing machine and tumble dryer and outside door opening onto barbecue area and parking.  Plenty of room for coats and wellies.

Wi-fi

Harbour House has good wi-fi coverage, but there is no mobile reception and only limited reception throughout the village .

 


 

First Floor Accommodation

Bedroom One

With a super-king bed, plus ample storage and hand basin.

Bedroom two

With a kingsize bed, plus ample storage and hand basin.

Bedroom three

With twin beds, plus ample storage and hand basin.

Bedroom 4

With single bed.

Bathrooms 

Each of the two bathrooms has a bath tub with shower over, hand basin and wc.

Facilities for Infants

A travel cot and high chair are available on request.  The details are in the information file in the cottage or contact us by telephone or email in advance.


Dogs

Two well-behaved dogs are allowed by prior arrangement in the downstairs rooms only. Guests are responsible for ensuring dogs remain within these areas and are not allowed upstairs or to climb on to furniture. Dogs must not be allowed to roam unsupervised and must be kept under close control at all times.

 


Garden and Parking

Outside, with seating to make the most of this suntrap, there is a decked front garden overlooking Craster Harbour.  At the rear there is a small paved area with barbecue. There is private parking for two cars at the side of the house.
